(Bob) Falls, commanding 870 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Navy's air arm, is here seen in full gear as a jet fighter pilot. Lt.-Cmdr. Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Falls, 174 Gravel road, took over command of the squadron when it was equipped with the U.S.-made twin jet Banshees on which he received special training last year in Florida. The squadron is based at H.M.C.S. Shearwater, Dartmouth, N.S., but will operate from H.M.C.S. Bonaventure when the new carrier, under construction at Belfast, North Ireland, is commissioned, probably late this year."
