Captions from St. Thomas Times-Journal: "Vampire Jet Plane Thrills Crowd at Aylmer; School to Be Busy Place This Summer."
"National Air Force Day at Aylmer School."
1_2533: "One of the many attractions in the airmen's lounge, where personnel of the Aylmer Air Station displayed their handiwork in a hobby show at the National Air Force Day, Saturday, was the model house, built to one-eighth inch scale. Other exhibits included metal work, cabinet making, leather tooling, plastic work and toy making."
1_2534: "Anne Montgomery, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Montgomery, Fairview avenue, Yarmouth Heights, was keenly interested in the fighting and training planes on exhibition at the Aylmer Air Station, Saturday, when National Air Force Day was observed. Anne very recently made her solo flight at the civic airport, Yarmouth Centre, and is believed to be the youngest girl pilot in Ontario. She attended the open house at Aylmer with her father and brother, Marshall (Sonny) Montgomery Jr., who has also made solo flights and qualified for civilian pilot papers. Anne is shown inspecting one of the planes on display in No. 5 hangar."
1_2535: "The exhibition of Second World War fighting craft in No. 5 hanger at the Aylmer Air Station held a special appeal for the children, Saturday afternoon, during the observance of National Air Day. Hundreds availed themselves of the opportunity to "explore" the bombers and fighters. One group was photographed as the youngsters were climbing over a German Messerschmidt."

- "Unique Craft - Kemp Glanville gets help from his sons Ed, left, and Michael, right, as he constructs, according to specifications, the new, two-seater gyrocopter in his machine shop. Mr. Glanville has the exclusive Canadian dealership for the craft which was designed by an engineer in California. The model will be completed this spring." (1a)
- "Machine Shop - Ed Glanville, 13, works on one of the aluminum parts for the gyrocopter. The 30 by 90-foot workshop contains a miniature machine shop, as well as providing storage space for a number of other vehicles including four hydroplanes and a glider." (1b)
- "Wall of Tools - Michael Glanville selects some equipment from the assortment of tools in the shop. Eventually they expect to manufacture parts for the two-seater Hollman HA-2M Sportster for all of Canada." (1c)
- Three black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 2, 1978 with captions:
- "So That's A Gyroplane - Ed, 15, and Michael Glanville, 21, pose with the Glanville Skymaster Gyroplane that they have built and designed with their father Kemp. The craft is being propelled by a regular airplane engine behind the cockpit, while the rotating blade on top acts as a wing. The machine is exclusive in Canada and will be built in St. Thomas." (2a)
- "Ordinary Propellor - Kemp Glanville stands beside the airplane engine propeller, which in the gyroplane, is located behind the cockpit. It powers the craft forward while a rotating blade on top of the craft lifts it off the ground." (2b)
- "At The Controls - Ed and Michael demonstrate the two seat dual controls in the enclosed cockpit." (2c)
- Black and white profile photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published March 21, 1979 with caption: "Test Flight - After two years in the making, Michael Glanville took the first circuit flight on Canada's only two-seater gyrocopter at the St. Thomas Municipal airport on Tuesday. The craft, called a Skymaster GA-2C, will be manufactured exclusively in St. Thomas by Glanville Aircraft. It was designed and built by Kemp Glanville and his two sons, Michael, 21, and Eddie, 15. It consists of an enclosed, two-seater dual control cockpit, with a propellor behind, providing the lift for the rotor blade on the top, which acts as a rotating wing. The Glanvilles will continue with their experiments this summer and show the craft at various air displays. Mr. Glanville is the president of the St. Thomas, London Chapter 112 of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Inc." (3)
- Black and white profile photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published August 13, 1979 with caption: "Bring Home Grand Champion Trophy - Kemp Glanville and sons, Ed and Michael, of St. Thomas, pose in front of their two-seater gyrocopter which earned them the Grand Champion Rotor Aircraft trophy at the recent Experimental Air Association convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The entry was the best of more that 100 entries in the category, and marked the first time that the trophy has come to Canada. About 400,000 people attended this year's convention held the first week of August." (4)

- One black-and-white photograph featuring Irving Thomas, on May 1, 1986.
- W9 B7 457 was published in the West Lorne Sun on May 1, 1986, with the caption: "Weeks ago, when Irving Thomas learned one of Trans-Canada Airways' orginal 10 passenger planes - an Elctra 10-A - would be landing in London, enroute to Expo '86, to celebrate the airlines' 50th annniversary, he could hardly wait to see the plane and crew. Being one of the first five men hired by C.D. Howe to organize the airline from a Winnipeg office, which had no furniture when Mr. Thomas arrived in 1937, he saw Air Canada through much of its expansion, he had 15 years of reminiscing to do."

- Three black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 11, 1974 with captions:
- "Wing Assembly - The wing spars and finished tail assembly for a two-seater, homebuilt, single-wing airplane are displayed here by Don McKenzie, in his workshop just east of St. Thomas. The plan is being built from a design of his own creation. Although Don is a pilot, the homebuilt aircraft is strictly a hobby to occupy his spare time, consequently he has been at it for about seven years. Don doesn't think it will be finished for at least three more years." (1a)
- "Examining Fuselage - Checking the front section of a homebuilt aircraft which is called Headwind and built from plans purchased several years ago for $9.50, is Ken Jones, a member of the EAAC who hopes to have the airplane flying later this summer. This open-cockpit, single-wing plane will be powered by a modified Volkswagen engine. Another EAAC member, Reg Miller of St. Thomas is building the wings for the Headwind." (1b)
- "Varnishing Wing - Pictured here beside the top wing of a Fleet Model 7 biplane is Pete Bouthoorn, a dairy farmer just north of Belmont who is currently working on his fourth aircraft. The fabric-covered frame is being varnished, which, in effect, tightens the fabric over the spars. Pete is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association of Canada, though technically this plane is not a homebuilt but an antique undergoing complete restoration." (1c)
