- "Santa Returns - After a two-year absence the annual Santa Claus parade returned to Sparta on Sunday. Hundreds of children and adults watched along the parade route. Here St. Nick waves to the crowd".
- "Leads the Parade - Many horses also took part in the annual Sparta Santa Claus Parade. This palomino horse, ridden by Bill Harris of Union, led the parade".
- "High Stepper - Majorettes were also a part of the Sparta Santa Claus Parade. This high-stepping member of the Silver Sabres of London goes through her paces during Sunday's event".
- "Queen of the Roses - Another entry was the Queen of Roses float with Betty Whithenshaw as the queen. Here she waves at the crowds".
