- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 10, 1966 with captions:
- "Santa Parade Returns - Residents of the Sparta community have been busy in the last four weeks working on floats for their annual Santa Claus parade which has not been held during the last two years. The parade, about half the size as before, will be held this Saturday at 2 p.m. starting from the Don Mills farm. Theo Webber (left) and Carl Crocker are putting the final touches on the Hickory Dickory Dock float".
- "One of Thirteen Floats - One of the favourite floats in the Sparta Santa Claus parade will be Santa's train. Fred Smith is completing the work on the float. The parade will form up at the Mills farm and will include 13 floats, three bands and about 10 novelties".
