- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published January 18, 1974 with caption: "Little Remains- Harold Peters, on the right, and his older brother, Dick, both of Springfield, examine what remains of their one-and-a-half storey frame house on Hornby Street. Harold, his wife and family and another brother and his wife lived in the home. They were forced out by the fire about 9 p.m., Thursday night, and the firefighters from the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department fought the blaze until 12:30 a.m. today. Cause of the fire has not been determined. At one point, flames could be seen in the sky from one mile east of the village."
