He discovered the decorations covering his house when he arrived home from work after midnight Friday. A small tree in the yard was even blazing brightly with Christmas lights. 'I just didn't know what to think,' he said. Mr. Smith helped to avoid a disaster last week [June 18, 1981] by turning off a leaking valve on an ammonia tanker."
