- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 24, 1972 with caption: "Hold Annual Winter Picnic- The Elgin East District of the Women's Institute held their annual winter picnic at the Aylmer Baptist Church, yesterday, with almost 150 area members and visiting guests from Elgin West and Oxford South enjoying the festivities. As well as holding the annual winter picnic, the establishment of the district institute 65 years ago, as well as the founding of the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario, 75 years ago, was celebrated.
