- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 22, 1973 with captions: "Visitors Welcome- It was Open House at the Aylmer Public Library Thursday to mark the completion of renovations. One of the first visitors was Elgin County Librarian Elgin Wells, right, who shows a new tape-cassette library to Aylmer Mayor Forrest Moore. The cassette library has about 500 volumes in all musical tastes and is a new addition to the library." (C8 Sh5 B2 F12 13a) " Library Open House- Aylmer Librarian Mrs. Elinor Given looks over the library's set of the Champlain Papers, a 36-volume collection of reprinted documents of great historical significance in Canada.
