- A photograph used in a St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 20, 1967 with caption: "The Cup That Cheers- Tea was the thing yesterday when members of the East Elgin Women's Institute held their Tweedsmuir Tea at The Forge and Anvil, Sparta. The popular event was attended by scores of women from Elgin and St. Thomas as well as guests from more distant points. The committee in charge included, left to right, Miss Catherine McDowell, Mrs. Marjorie Carter, Mrs. Gowan Young, Mrs. Walter Rogers, Mrs. R. J. Ferguson, Mrs. Harold Nichols, Mrs. Harold Davis, and seated Mrs. William Anderson who was convenor of the successful event."
