- History / Biographical
- 86 Elgin St was built for William E. Idsardi in 1891 at a cost of $4500. Idsardi was a former Alderman and Mayor in St. Thomas.
The house was designed by architect John Z. Long and built by Hawes and Matchett. It was owned by the Idsardi family until 1940, until it was sold to the Disbrowe family, who owned the house for over forty years.
