- Jane Donaldson Barber was born on December 19, 1814 in Southwold Township, Elgin County and died on September 10, 1876 in Yarmouth Township, Elgin County. She married Leslie Pearce on January 24, 1833 at the Old English Church in St. Thomas. They had seven children together, including Hannah, John B., Frances, Mary I., Caroline Martha, Leslie and Anna Elizabeth. Jane and her husband, Leslie, are buried in West Avenue Cemetery in St. Thomas, Ontario.
