- Scope and Content
- One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 18, 1969, with caption:
- "For a long time Downtown St. Thomas has needed a great steak house . . . Well wait no more! Drummer Boy Steaks has arrived. The Drummer Boy has a fantastic recipe for 'Char Broiling' Steaks to perfection . . . And when served on a wooden platter in this beautiful candle lit atmosphere, well it's like we said 'wait no more'. We've designed our restaurant so as to include courteous service and great food, both at a price any one can afford. As a matter of fact, the most expensive dish on our menu is the Drummer Boy Special which consists of Char-Broiled boneless strip steak with chilled tomato juice, baked Idaho potato, Drummer Boy salad, French dressing, toasted roll, strawberry short cake and all the coffee you can drink for just $2.33." - One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published October 8, 1969, with caption:
- "Official grand opening this week - St. Thomas' new steak house, Drummer Boy Steaks, has been in operation for the past three weeks but the special grand opening is being celebrated tonight and for the balance of the week. Above is an exterior view of the new Talbot Street business." (6b)
