- Black and white drawing used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published April 3, 1978 with caption: "Bee House Destroyed - This Gothic designed bee house, the only one of its kind left in Canada, was destroyed by fire Saturday night on the grounds of the Elgin County Pioneer Museum. The bee house was built by a travelling carpenter in 1826 or 1827 on the William Pearce homestead southwest of present day Wallacetown. The bee house was moved to the museum in January of 1968."
