- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 30, 1974 with caption: "Sunday was the Scout and Cub Homecoming Service at Central United Church in St. Thomas. The congregation was given an outline of the Scout unit, which used to meet at the church, by Bill Morton, a veteran Scout leader. They also heard a sermon by Provincial Judge R. G. Groom of Tillsonburg, an active United Church layman with a great interest in the Scouting Movement. Here, talking during a social hour after the service, are from left, Rev. Lorne O'Neill, minister at Central United; Judge Groom, Mrs. Jane Morton, also a former leader at Central United; mr. Morton and Bill MacFarlane, former District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of Canada in Elgin County."
