- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 25, 1959 with caption: "About 1,500 scouts, cubs, rovers, guides, brownies and rangers took part in the Elgin County District annual church parade on Sunday. Here some of the scouts pass the City Hall where Scout Commissioner Charles Johnson and Guide Commissioner Mrs. R. D. Whiteside took the salute. Behind the color party is the Elgin Pipe Band, one of the three bands in the parade."
