- Other Title Info
- Title derived from the original file title. The term “Indian” is an outdated term referring to the legal identity of a person registered under the Indian Act. Although used in many government documents, the term is offensive and should not be used today. Content in the articles also contain Euro-Centric viewpoints of Indigenous Peoples. The original records and terms have been retained to ensure that discriminatory attitudes and viewpoints are not erased from the historic record.
