- "Harness Racing Interest High- Despite an early afternoon rain that threatened to wash out racing at the Aylmer Fair, a good crowd turned out to witness the eight events. With betting privileges available this year for the first time, fans showed increased interest and had a good time to boot. Here a part of the crowd on the grandstand watch the finish of a fast heat." (8a)
- "Proud Showmen All- The Danbrook family of Mapleton were keen participants in the Jersey Parish Show staged at Aylmer Fair Wednesday. From the left, Frank, Sharon, Brenda, Tommy, Carolyn and their father Keith R. Danbrook display some of their prize winning animals." (8b) Sharon Danbrook is shown wearing a shirt with an Elgin County 4-H Club crest.
- "Never Too Young- The children of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stansell, Malahide Township, showed Ayrshire cattle at the Aylmer Fair on Wednesday, cleaning and preparing the animals for the show ring. Stuart, 12, shows 'Jeanie'; Norman, 6, proudly displays 'Jewel', and 10-year-old Beth presents 'Bluebell'." (8c)
