- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published July 30, 1958 with caption: "Unusual Plaque Raised- This three-ton memorial stone was erected in the John E. Pearce Provincial Park at Tyrconnell on Tuesday (July 29, 1958). The plaque honors Mr. Pearce, Dunwich Township resident, who gave the park to the Province of Ontario. From the left are Peter Skuce, Aylmer, of the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests; Donald Inman, Toronto, designer of the memorial; Joseph Risi, Richmond Hill, who cast the stone; John E. Pearce, donor of the park, and Floyd Chaplin, Toronto, carver of the mould for the plaque."
