- Photographs of three women holding corsages during the ceremonies for the St. Thomas baseball club. Around them is the crowd and the St. Thomas baseball team. Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, May 15, 1953, page eleven: “Ball Players and Wives Greeted at City Hall.” 1_552: “Wives of three of the Elgins ball players are seen holding corsages presented to them during welcoming ceremonies for the baseball club and the St. Thomas Baseball Association at the City Hall on Thursday evening. They are Mrs. Benish, Mrs. Wasiluk and Mrs. Rassmussen, with playing manager Bob Benish and Pete Dickens, master of ceremonies, on the right. Behind them are seen the Elgins of 1953, who were introduced to the crowd.”
