- Black and white photograph showing John Ker, of RR 1, Fingal, a beef producer and cash crop farmer, on May 7, 1968, when he was elected Progressive Conservative candidate for Elgin by 559 votes at a nomination meeting at which more than 1,200 people attended. The meeting was held in the St. Thomas-Elgin Memorial Community Centre. He is shown here with his wife. Not used.
