- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 19, 1972 with caption: "George Brown, Mayor of Aylmer from 1946-48 was given the honour of unveiling a plaque erected by the Archives of Ontario, Archaeological and Historic Sites Board, commemorating the founding of the Town of Aylmer, in Balmoral Park in Aylmer Sunday (June 18, 1972). Prior to the unveiling, Mr. Brown addressed the large crowd which assembled for the event, part of Aylmer's Centennial Homecoming Week."
