In January 2023, Allan Miller stated the following via email: "I want to point out that Maj Stacey was no longer a member of the CEF. He could have been there as still listed as an officer of the 25th Regiment and authorized to be in uniform. Watson never returned to Canada and was demobilized in the UK. Stacey would perhaps return to St Thomas and close his business. He deceased in the UK as well as his son and wife".

Scope and Content
View of the crowd assembled at the Michigan Central Railway Station, June 25, 1916 to witness the departure of the 91st Battalion, C.E.F. enroute to Halifax, Nova Scotia and transport to England. The photographer has etched this caption on the negative: "Crowd assembled at depot to bid Farewell to 91st Btn". View is looking northeast and includes businesses on the north side of Talbot Street, including the Chant Sperrin Dry Goods store on the northeast corner of Talbot and Manitoba Streets (801 Talbot Street), George W. Durkee, auctioneer (773), Bertrand A. Sumner, confectioner (779) - "Fresh Candy" on store awning, and the International Hotel (819-825). Balaclava Street Public School and Grace Methodist Church (after 1925, Grace United Church) are also partially visible. Several men have risked electrocution to climb a hydro pole for a better view.

Shows members of the 91st Battalion, C.E.F., marching east on Talbot Street, St. Thomas to the Michigan Central Railway Station, June 25, 1916 to entrain enroute to Halifax, Nova Scotia and transport to England. This is probably A Company because the two young boys in the lower left foreground marching with the troops are identified as Ken Satchell and Clare Osborne, and Satchell's father Lance-Corporal Albert Satchell, 123380 was an NCO in A Company. View is looking northwest and includes businesses on the north side of Talbot Street, including R.H. Beattie bakery (515-517 Talbot Street), Philip R. Williams & Son funeral directors (519), Princess Theatre (525), Porter & Nelson jewelers (527), Roberts & Sandham, electricians (531).
