Pictured are newly-appointed elders Bob Bunchan and Betty King, Minitster David Clements, the Moderator, and elders jack Buchan, Bob King and Lou Ford. It is only the second time in the congragation's long history taht a father and son are eleders at the same time, the first and last time being over 120 years ago".

- "Head for Honduras - Peter Stoll, 56, of Con. 8, Malahide Township sold all his belongings yesterday at public auction. The Mennonite family will leave next week for Honduras, where they plan to establish a new home. Mr. Stoll said he and his family are leaving Canada because of government socialistic measures such as the Canada pension plan and medicare, to which Mennonites object." (1a)
- "Mennonite Bishop - Peter Yoder of Con. 8, Malahide Township, was one of several Mennonites to attend an auction sale at the farm of Peter Stoll, Con. 8, Malahide Township yesteday. Mr. Stoll and his family sold their farm and belongings in preparation for a trip to Honduras, where the Mennonite family plans to settle. Mr. Yoder is bishop of the Mennonite Community east of Aylmer." (1b)
- "Auction Sale - Auctioneers Less Shackleton (left) and Hugh Filson sold all the belongings of two Aylmer area Mennonite families yesterday. The families of Peter Stoll and his son Alva, Con. 8, Malahide Township, will make the 3,000-mile journey to Honduras in Latin America next week, where they plan to settle. Peter Stoll said he and his family hope to help the people of Honduras make a better living." (1c)
- "Mennonite Women - Two unidentified Mennonite women and a child are shown examining some of the clothing auctioned yesterday at the farm of Peter Stoll, Con. 8, Malahide Township. Mr. Stoll, a Mennonite, and his family sold all their belongings by auction and plan to move to Honduras to start a new life. Born there of Canadian parents, Mr. Dyck thought he was a Canadian citizen until he discovered he was stripped of his claim by a law of which he says he was unaware. Mr. Dyck and his wife Aganetha live in Port Burwell with nine children. The Dycks are one of six families in the Aylmer district who have a similar problem."

- "Nature Provides - In a process as old as the hills, a number of the members of the Amish community around Aylmer utilize the icy ponds in the area to provide refrigeration for the summer months. The ice is cut, removed from the pond in two-foot thick cubes and stored in barns packed in sawdust for use in the summer. Seen here is the ice being removed from the pond." (2a)
- "Only Machine Used - A circular saw is used to initially cut the large chunks of ice. After the saw cut is made, a hammer and chisel break the ice blocks away so they can be removed from the pond." (2b)

- Apostolic Christian Church, Rodney, April 1980. Published in the Rodney Mercury on April 17, 1980 wit the following caption: "Rodney's Apostolic Christian Church on Furnival North, was dedicated on the weekend, with 75 attending the Saturday evening banquet and service, and 150 attending Sunday's 10:30 dedication service, the noon banquet and the 7 pm service. Elder Brother Walter Meyer of Tremont, Illinois gave the message Saturday evening, with the dedication being performed by Elder Brother George Freund of Mansfield, Ohio. Friends were present from California, Illinois, Ohip, Windsor, Kitchene, etc. Alex Lupsor purchased the church in 1970, with the congregation continuing to grow and improve the building until today, when it has all the facilities and a fine church. English services are conducted there., and Romanian services at the Apostolic Christian Church at the south end of the village".
