- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published March 25, 1977 with caption: "Mr. and Mrs. Ed Griffiths, donors of the President's Camp Award present the trophy to the 1st Union Troop Wednesday night at the Scout banquet sponsored by the Union - South Yarmouth Optimists. The trophy is presented to the troop that has camped out the most days in one year. From left Ed Griffiths, president of the Elgin District Council his wife Grace, who is district treasurer, Jim Zacher, leader of the 1st Union Troop, Scout Danny Barendregt and Howie Wahtmore of the Union-South Yarmouth Optimist Club. The banquet was held at the Rendezvous banquet hall."
