- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published April 20, 1974 concerning an automobile accident that killed Lawrence Leatherdale, 20, Fingal, Ontario. Published with caption: "Fingal Man Killed - A Fingal area man died in the wreckage of this car early this morning, when the vehicle was struck by an eastbound Norfolk and Western Railway freight train at a level crossing on Highway 4 just south of Talbotville. Two other people were taken to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with undetermined injuries. The mishap occurred about 6:40 a.m. Elgin County Coroner Dr. R.J. Floyd of St. Thomas and Ontario Provincial Police of the St. Thomas detachment, shown above, inspect the wreckage of the car."

- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 21, 1981 with caption: "Crash Vehicle - The survivors of this accident which occurred at about 3:50 a.m. Wednesday would probably have been killed if they had not been wearing seat belts, said Cpl. Jim Mutton of the St. Thomas OPP. The car, driven by Richard Wyse of 1130 Adelaide Street, London, went out of control on the curve of Highway 4 just south of Talbotville and flew 1,200 feet across the highway bouncing off the south curb and knocking down two hydro poles and a Ministry of Transportation and Communications sign before crashing into a tree. An OPP spokesman said the car was evidently airborn twice during that time. A number of Talbotville residents were awakened by the crash. Mr. Wyse and a passenger in the car, Leon Fonger of 9-96 Confederation Drive in St. Thomas were taken to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital where they were treated for multiple lacerations and were reported to be in satisfactory condition today. The value of the car which was completely demolished is estimated at $2,000 and damage to the hydro poles and sign is about another $2,000, the OPP spokesman said. As a result of the accident hydro was off in Talbotville for about an hour after the accident and for another half hour later in the morning as Ontario Hydro crews repaired the poles."

- Alma McMullin was born in 1914. Alma McMullin and her sister Eileen came from the family farm at 22505 Sutherland Road, Caradoc Township. Alma taught at Talbotville School (Southwold S.S. #6) from 1939 to 1944. She died in 1970, and is buried in Cook's United Church Cemetery near Mount Brydges, Middlesex County.

- Photographs and letters written by Alma Pearl McMullin, a teacher at the Talbotville Public School (Southwold School Section Number 6) from 1939-1944. Fonds includes class photographs of her students, and letters that she sent to her boyfriend at the time, W.L. "Jimmy" Ward. At the time, teachers had to resign on marriage. Alma and Jimmy were married in July 1944.

- Corp. William Henry Taylor (1880-1918), was born in Warwickshire, England, a son of Thomas Henry Taylor and Agnes Butter Taylor. William married Jennie Gunning on December 27, 1911 at Talbotville.
He was enlisted with the 91st CLB CEF and was stationed with the 1st Battalion, Western Ontario Regiment.
He died in England, and is buried in Hampshire.
