- Black and white photograph showing Chalmer's Presbyterian Church in Springfield. The congregation was organized in 1875 and joined with the Methodist Church in 1925. After the Union between the Springfield Methodist and Chalmer's Presbyterian, the church was renamed St. John, because all the leaders involved in the union were named John. Included in Springfield Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book.

- Series consists of correspondence received by the Springfield Women’s Institute. Included are a number of letters received from the Institute’s coordinating body, the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario, regarding the creation of a Tweedsmuir history. Accompanying one of the letters is a hand-drawn map dated 1973 of the geographical area to be covered by the Tweedsmuir history. Also included is a letter from the Canadian Red Cross Society dated 1944 requesting preserves to support soldiers fighting overseas. Letters include original envelopes and postage stamps. File R6 S6 Sh1 B4 F2 contains miscellaneous correspondence, 1997-1998 relating to the restoration of the Springfield Pioneer Cemetery, and the disbandment of the Institute.

- The Lunch Committee of the Local Committee for the 1960 International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Demonstration was established at a meeting of the Executive Committee held September 28, 1959. Albert Auckland was appointed committee chairman. The committee was responsible for providing lunches for participants and visitors at the International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Demonstration held October 11-14, 1960 in the vicinity of Springfield, Ontario. Members of the Springfield Women's Institute prepared and served the lunches.

- Black and white photograph showing the Springfield Methodist Church, later St. John's United Church, located at the corner of Main and Superior Streets. The Methodist congregation was first organized in the 1830s. The corner stone was laid on July 1, 1878 for the brick church, and dedicated on January 16, 1879. The church was rebuilt in 1902 after sparks from a fire on the north side of the street ignited the bird nests in the bell tower and caught fire. After the Union in 1925 between the Springfield Methodist and Chalmer's Presbyterian, the church was renamed St. John, because all the leaders involved in the union were named John. Included in Springfield Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book.
