- View of the crowd assembled at the Michigan Central Railway Station, June 25, 1916 to witness the departure of the 91st Battalion, C.E.F. enroute to Halifax, Nova Scotia and transport to England. The photographer has etched this caption on the negative: "Crowd assembled at depot to bid Farewell to 91st Btn". View is looking northeast and includes businesses on the north side of Talbot Street, including the Chant Sperrin Dry Goods store on the northeast corner of Talbot and Manitoba Streets (801 Talbot Street), George W. Durkee, auctioneer (773), Bertrand A. Sumner, confectioner (779) - "Fresh Candy" on store awning, and the International Hotel (819-825). Balaclava Street Public School and Grace Methodist Church (after 1925, Grace United Church) are also partially visible. Several men have risked electrocution to climb a hydro pole for a better view.

The agreement is dated March 27, 1889 and states that the Canada Southern Railway agrees to erect a gate between Shirton's brickyard and the railway company's grounds to allow Shirton to haul brick to railway cars for shipment.

The agreement approves the application of the Michigan Central Railroad to divert and widen Ross Street and build a subway, and to divert and widen First Avenue, and to build a new subway west of the old subway. Includes a plan showing the proposed subway on Ross Street in St. Thomas, Ontario, dated May 1908.
