Sweet, chairman of anniversary planning committee, Dr. Ernest Crossley Hunter, minister of Toronto Trinity United Church and Homer Lyons, formerly of South Dorchester and a member of Dr. Hunter's church in Toronto at the service. Dr. Ernest Crossley Hunter was guest speaker at the anniversary service. He was the son of Reverend John Hunter, who with Reverend Hugh Crossley in 1890, held a camp meeting in the woods near the church. The Congregation and church was the outcome of the meeting, with the church being built in 1891. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Volume 2.

- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published April 17, 1980 with captions: "Up Out of the Creek - Tow trucks pull a transport truck from Kettle Creek this morning following an accident which saw the tractor-trailer leave the road and cover the surrounding area with corn. Driver of the truck, Don McKay, of Norwich, received cuts to the forehead and was listed in fair condition in St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital this morning. St. Thomas OPP officers are still investigating the mishap, which resulted in more than $70,000 damage"; Clearing Highway - A ministry of transportation and communications grader clears corn kernels from Highway 74, following an early-morning transport-trailer accident near Mapleton. Part of the highway was closed from 4:30 to 9:30 a.m."

He served first in the 142nd infantry and later joined the Royal Air Force and received training. During the Second World War, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served on instructional duties in Canada. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Vol. 1.

Son of Harvey Martindale, Ansel left his wife and children in the care of his father when he volunteered for overseas service. Upon his return, he purchased the cheese factory at Lyons and converted it to a garage and service station. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Vol. 1.

Dr. Brown taught at the Kingsmill School around 1900, and graduated from the London Medical School in 1904. He married and moved to Cayley, Alberta, where be practised for 19 years before moving to Los Angeles, California, for a post-graduate course. He then practised in Vancouver, BC, until his death in 1948.

Seen at right is Roy McGregor, leader of the club for 25 years. Seated at the back is Sharon Danbrook, Dairy Queen of the Fair. Sign on car reads "Belmont 4-H Dairy Calf Club".
