Sweet, chairman of anniversary planning committee, Dr. Ernest Crossley Hunter, minister of Toronto Trinity United Church and Homer Lyons, formerly of South Dorchester and a member of Dr. Hunter's church in Toronto at the service. Dr. Ernest Crossley Hunter was guest speaker at the anniversary service. He was the son of Reverend John Hunter, who with Reverend Hugh Crossley in 1890, held a camp meeting in the woods near the church. The Congregation and church was the outcome of the meeting, with the church being built in 1891. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Volume 2.

He served first in the 142nd infantry and later joined the Royal Air Force and received training. During the Second World War, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served on instructional duties in Canada. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Vol. 1.

Son of Harvey Martindale, Ansel left his wife and children in the care of his father when he volunteered for overseas service. Dr. Brown taught at the Kingsmill School around 1900, and graduated from the London Medical School in 1904. He married and moved to Cayley, Alberta, where be practised for 19 years before moving to Los Angeles, California, for a post-graduate course. He then practised in Vancouver, BC, until his death in 1948.

- Black and white photograph showing Catfish Creek. One branch of the creek crosses the 9th Concession, just east of Crossley Hunter and again at the Quarter Road. A windy creek, it flows through almost every farm in the community. During the spring thaw, the creek often floods the road. In 1936, the 9th Concession was reconstructed to avoid flooding with the redirection of the creek. Included in the Kingsmill-Mapleton Women's Institute History Vol. 1.
