The other two, “Hosanna, Hosanna” (Rogers), and “Christ Arose” (arranged by Noel Benson), will be sung jointly with the senior choir. - Scope and Content
- Photographs of several individuals wearing historic outfits and costumes for a “Photographic Reveries” event at the First Church.
Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, March 27, 1952, page thirteen: “Old Times Recalled in ‘Photograph Reveries’ Staged at First Church.”
2_481: “From the many old costumes that were worn in the ‘Photograph Reveries’ entertainment at First Church, Wednesday night, these three were picked as the oldest. Joy Ward (left), who appeared as the bride in the ‘Bride and Groom’ pose, wore an actual wedding dress that is estimated to be 80 years old. In the centre is Mrs. Fred Bainard, who appeared in a ‘Family Group’ pose, wears a dress that is at least 60 years old; and Mrs. John Trull (right), who posed as ‘Father’s First Sweetheart,’ is seen in an outfit that is about 75 years old.”
2_480: “When it came to posing the subject ‘Four Generations,’ those responsible for staging ‘Photographic Reveries’ at First United Church Wednesday night came up with the real thing. In everyday life, as on the stage, they are members of one family group. Pictured here they are: Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson (seated in front); Mrs. Elise Butcher, their daughter, standing at the rear left; Mrs. Pauline Whistlecraft, her daughter, standing beside her to the right; and Paul Whistlecraft, sitting on his great-grandfather’s knee.”
