- W11 B8 296a was published in the West Lorne Sun on December 3, 1970, with the caption: "Aldborough's new Reeve and Deputy, Nelson Johnston and Bob Walker, qualified for those offices at Thursday night's nomination meeting in Aldborough Public School. Both were unchallenged for the offices, which are for a two-year term."
- W11 B8 296b was published in the West Lorne Sun on December 3, 1970, with the caption: "Aldborough's 1971 Coubncillors qualified for office at Thursday night's nomination meeting in Aldborough Public School. They are: new councillor Lyle Mann of Clachan, Lorne Carrol of Crinan, who served the past two years on council, and Joe Fischer, Jr., of Churchville." (Male pictured on far left not identified).
