Seawright, Toronto, who carded a 76, three strokes better than a 15-year record set by Mrs. Jack Secord, of Kelowna, B.C., the former Dorothy Agnew. With Mrs. Seawright, who appears second from the left in the above photograph, are Mrs. McLay Miller, Aylmer, at her right, who won the prize for second low gross; Mrs. T. J. Stewart, St. Thomas, president of the women’s section of the Country Club, centre; Mrs. H. M. Dawson, St. Thomas, captain of the women’s section of the Country Club; and Mrs. Lloyd Grant, Aylmer, who won the prize for third low gross.”

Saunders, Q.C., was speaking at the official opening. Shown seated to the left of Mr. Saunders are General Manager J. W. Peart of the Commission; R. M. Laurie, manager of the Western Region of Hydro; Commissioner George D. Laing; former Mayor Ernest Duckworth; former Commissioners Ernest Seger and R. B. Bowey; and Commissioners W. A. Allan and P. R. Locke. To the right of Mr. Saunders Mayor T. H. Currah; Warden R. K. McNeil and a number of other guests were seated. Mr. Saunders later cut the red ribbon across the entrance to the P. U. C. building.”
