"Prepping the Furrow Straight - The sod was dry and hard, but Ontario's Minister of Agriculture and Food, Wm. A. Stewart, got behind the plow to show reporters and officials how it's done. The minister turned the first sod recently at the site for the 1974 International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Show, to be held in Halton County, south of Georgetown, September 24 to 28 inclusive." "Trophy Presented - W. D. Shore, Glanworth (centre), on behalf of Mrs. L. B. Reid, Kincardine, presents the Maple Lee Farms Trophy to Stonetown Farms, St. Marys (as represented by Don Stephens, left) and Forest Lee Farms, Springfield (as represented by Bill Shively, right) at the 1974 Western Ontario Holstein Championship Show. The trophy is donated by Mrs. Reid to the winner to the Get-of-Sire class. Stonetown Farms and Forest Lee Farms each contributed progeny of Romandale Reflection Marquis to win the class." (24b)
"Grand Champion - Bill Grieve, Dorchester (left) presents the Grand Champion Holstein Male banner to Gerald Rowe, Woodstock (centre) at the 1974 Western Ontario Holstein Championship Show in London. The winner of the banner was the first prize yearling Rowsdale Keaster bred and owned by Rowsdale Farm. Also shown is Reserve Champion bull, Howes Noble Ravon-Red as bred and owned by Mervin Howe and sons, Ltd., Aylmer. Ravon-Red is held by Lowell, Lindsay, Guelph (right)." (24c)

Rodney Legion disbanded 2021. 10th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Hackney) was a battalion of the London Regiment, the only all-Territorial Force regiment in the British Army. The battalion existed between 1912 and 1955 and was later re-attached to the Rifle Brigade, Royal Berkshire Regiment and Royal Artillery.

This is a cap badge for the depicting a blackened brass Maltese cross, above the top arm is a tablet bearing "EXCEL", surmounted by a King's crown. The top arm of the cross bears the battle honour "SOUTH AFRICA 1900 - 02". In the centre is a circlet bearing "12TH COUNTY OF LONDON" encircling a strung bugle horn. Across the bottom of the cross is a scroll bearing "THE RANGERS". On reverse there is a slider clasp.

Donated by the Rodney Legion, Branch 525. From Rodney Legion Cap Badge Collection. Rodney Legion disbanded 2021. The Rangers was a volunteer unit of the British Army, originally formed in 1860. It provided a detachment for service in the Second Boer War, saw intensive action on the Western Front in the First World War (including the Battles of the Somme and Passchendaele), and served as motorised infantry during the Second World War during the campaigns in Greece and the Western Desert.

The 19th Battalion, London Regiment (St Pancras) was a Volunteer unit of the British Army in existence from 1860 to 1961 under various titles. A detachment served in the Second Boer War and two full battalions fought in World War I, receiving the surrender of Jerusalem and crossing the Jordan among other exploits.

There is also a wooden platform with a S-shaped plaque that says "ART GOODWIN AWARD" and a plaque on its base that says "PORT STANLEY OUTSTANDING CITIZEN".
