JAMES C Y R I L M c C A F F E R Y F/S — R279299 S ON of M r . and Mrs. Dan McCaffery, was born in South Dunwich near Port Talbot, and enlisted in the R. C. A. F. for flying duties in November, 1943. He was trained as an air gunner prior to proceeding to England in July, 1944. In the United Kingdom F/S McCaff'ery re- ceived operational training on a Lancaster aircraft and joined a Canadian heavy bomber squadron of No. 6 Group based mainly in Yorkshire.
