Photographs of a car accident in St. Thomas, in the ravine near Elgin Street and Rosebery Place. Victims of the accident were William T. Stafford and Lawrence Wilcox. Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal: "Fatal Plunge of Motor Car Into Ravine: Car Leaps Curb and PLunges Into Ravine; One Man Dies of Injuries; Another is Hurt: William T. Stafford, N.Y.C. Fireman, Succumbs in Hospital Where Lawrence Wilcox, P.M. Engineer, Is Critically Ill; Firemen Called to Scene to Assist in Rescue Work." 2_242: "Picture of ravine, taken from top of the embankment." 2_241: "The car came to rest, crushed against a tree."

Photograph of two cars that were involved in an accident at the corner of Wellington and Elgin streets in St. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Larson were in one vehicle and Ronald McGugan was in the other. Wellington Street School is in the background. Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal: "Two Cars in Collision: Mrs. A. L. Larson, 32, of Fingal, was admitted to the Memorial Hospital early Wednesday morning in a critical condition as a result of a traffic accident at the corner of Wellington and Elgin streets about 1 a.m., when a car in which she was traveling was in collision with a second vehicle. Mrs. Larson was with her husband who was driving their 1941 Plymouth. Operator of the other car involved was Ronald McGugan, R. R. 7, St. Thomas. (See story page 11.)"
