Thomas Even- ing Music Club has made a tre- mendous impact in fostering good music in Elgin County. The St. Thomas Rotary Club's Music Festival had its incep- tion in 1952 when over 300 en- tries were registered in tiie various musical events and classifications. The number of entries has grown to over 700 this year. The purpose of the annual festival is to promote music in the schools especially of Elgm County and to provide scholarships to winners as an incentive to continue their mu- sical studies
