Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 23, 1966 with caption: "Tall Toothpicks- These tall poles are part of a two-mile stretch that will carry the two 115,000-volt power lines to the St. Thomas assembly plant of the Ford Motor Company of Canada. They will serve two transformers at the Ford substation. The project is hoped to be completed by the middle of December. This scene shows the 55-foot-long poles as they cross Wellington Road toward the Ford plant."
