- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 22, 1959 with caption: "Rapelje Descendents - Many direct descendants of Captain Daniel Rapelje, founder of St. Thomas, and donor of the land on which the Old St. Thomas Church stands, gathered at St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon (June 21, 1959) for the unveiling of an historical plaque in front of the old building. After the unveiling ceremony, the descendants held an informal reunion, most of them visiting the grave of Captain Rapelje a short distance from the plaque. In the above photo, the Rapeljes, from many parts of Ontario and the United States, pause after the church service."
- Second man from the right in the back row is Clifford ("Cliff") Rapelje Couse, b. 10 June 1885, d. 29 March 1969, buried in South Park Cemetery, St. Thomas. At his left shoulder is his wife, Mary ("May") Frances Free Couse, b. 26 December 1883 at Lakeview, d. 31 October 1985 at Memorial Continuing Care Hospital, St. Thomas, aged 101.
