- -A booklet titled "Sidelights on the Talbot Settlement" written by Ella N. Lewis, and published for the Elgin Historical Society in 1938.
- -A black and white photograph showing the Talbot Estate, captured on May 20, 1961. The following information is handwritten on the reverse of the photograph: "Dormer added by Mr. Ker when attic [unveiled] to bedroom in 1958. Garage also added in 1954, built from old timber of Col Talbot's blacksmith shop."

- Eva Cosens (nee Thompson) was born in Harrow, Ontario to the late Lennox and Silina Thompson. She was a long-term resident of West Lorne, Ontario with her husband, Sydney Cosens, and was known locally for writing articles on community and historical affairs. She often signed her articles with the initials "ETC". She died on May 29th, 1968 in St. Thomas and is buriend at the Colchester Cemetery in Harrow, Ontario.

Includes correspondence between H. Shearer, the Division Superintendent of the Michigan Central Railroad in St. Thomas, and C.R. Emery, Assistant Superintendent, Dining Car Service in Detroit, Michigan, discussing where and how employees should properly dispose of waste from dining cars in response to complaints, including from the International Bridge Company. Also contains correspondence between H. Shearer and F.W. Cowley, Trainmaster, regarding a complaint from W.J. Shaw, Sanitary Inspector from the Board of Health Office in St. Thomas. Also contains correspondence regarding unauthorized indiviuals stealing garbage that had been removed from dining cars, rather than being collected via proper channels, and a police report being filed in response to this issue.
