Schulman plastics plant on South Edgeware Road, being the main activity. - " This is an artist's conception of a new plastics manufacturing plant to be built in St. Thomas on Edgeware Drive. The plant, which will be the home of A. Schulman Canada Ltd., will provide jobs for 60 persons in manufacturing and a small office staff. Production is planned for October. The announcement was made this morning by officials of A. Schulman Inc. of Akron, Ohio, during a new confrerence at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club at Union." (1a)
- " Stephen Barik, Plant Manager, A. Schulman Canada, Ltd: Mr. Barcik will manage the A. Schulman Canada, Ltd. plant to be constructed in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Barik joined A. Schulman, Inc. in 1971 as assistant plant manager of the Bellevue, Ohio operation. Prior to joining the Company he was plant manager for the Ethyl Corporation in Richmond, Virginia." (1b)

- " Landscaping is serious business at A. Schulman Canada Ltd., a plastics manufacturing firm located on Edgeware Road, which employs about 40 people. The company owns a total of 13 acres of land in St. Thomas, of which eight are landscaped with flowers, trees, and shrubs, plant manager Kip Brown said recently. Indusrial Commissioner Shine Palmer said Schulman's efforts are a 'credit to the neighborhood' and 'really eye-catching.' Mr. Palmer said 'it shows what our corporate companies are doing.' " (7a)
