"Attend Elgin Baptist Assembly - Elgin County Baptists had the opportunity to meet with leading Baptist ministers from across Canada at the 112th Annual Assembly of Elgin Baptist Churches during the weekend. Some of the delegates gathered during a break in the program in the office of Rev. L.V. Hultgren, pastor of Centre Street Baptist Church, which hosted the assembly, for a picture. Shown, left to right, are Rev. Hultgren (seated), Rev. Charles Burtch, moderator; Mrs. A. Cummings, clerk-treasurer of the Elgin Assembly; Rev. Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published October 19, 1966 with caption: "Attend Annual Banquet - The Elgin Baptist Brotherhood's annual banquet and ladies' night held last evening at Centre Street Baptist Church. Speaker for the evening was Howard Jacobson of Hamilton who spoke on the topic "Our Christian Responsibility". Some 125 persons attended.
