- Three black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 1, 1979, with captions:
- "These were the top award winners at the Elgin County 4-H Agricultural Clubs' banquet and awards night, hosted by the agricultural committee of Elgin County Council and the St. Thomas Kiwanis Club. At left, Paul McCallum, 19, of RR 1, Iona Station, won the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce silver tray which went to the most outstanding club member based on interviews and achievements in the past year. Next to him is runner-up for the most outstanding club member, Sylvia Smith, 15, of RR 1, Iona Station, who took the Bill Caverly award. Marjorie Dykxhoorn, 19, of RR 1, Springfield, won the Piet Verheul Surge trophy for having the highest aggregate score of any club member. The banquet was held at Central United Church parish hall." - "Stan Campbell, 18, of RR 1, Iona Station, won the Silver Tray, donated by the Bank of Montreal, Main Branch, St. Thomas, for having the highest combined score in the Elgin County 4-H judging and evaluation competition. He was presented with his award at the Elgin County 4-H awards banquet at the Central United Church parish hall Friday night." (236b)
- "Sandy Walters, 14, of RR 2, St. Thomas, was awarded a plaque at the Elgin County 4-H Agricultural Clubs' awards banquet Friday night for being the best junior Elgin County 4-H judge and evaluator in competitions. She took home the CNE Shield from the banquet, which was held at the parish hall of Central United Church." (236c)

- "Best Swine Judges - Mary Lou McCart, RR 1, Southwold, and James Armstrong, RR 1, Union (right), are shown with Lorne Small, Assistant Agricultural Representative for Elgin County (left). Mary Lou McCart and James Armstrong represented the Central Elgin 4-H Swine Club in the Provincial Interclub 4-H judging competitions in Guelph on Friday.
