Scope and Content
View of the St. Thomas, Ontario Canada Southern Railway bridge while under construction in 1872. This shows the first bridge constructed in this location (the original wooden trestle built by the Canada Southern Railway in 1872). An iron trestle bridge was built by the MCR in 1883 to replace this bridge. That second bridge was then demolished in 1929 to make way for the current concrete trestle (built 1929-1930). This current bridge, known as the MCR / Kettle Creek Bridge, is currently being used as an Elevated Park.
