- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 17, 1970 with caption: "Redeemer Lutheran Church - Redeemer Lutheran - The Church of "The Lutheran Hour" and "This is The Life," heartily invites you to its worship and fellowship. In Jesus' Blessed Name, through the blessings of His Gospel, we want to share the riches of God's grace with you. Redeemer Lutheran accepts the Bible, the whole Bible, and only the Bible; not human opinion, but inerrant Scripture-given by inspiration of God, as its only rule of Christian faith and life. Redeemer Lutheran proclaims Christ, and Him Crucified and Risen, as the only Redeemer of our world of sinners; man is saved alone by grace through faith in Jesus, Who is very God of very God; The Holy Spirit by the Gospel, the wisdom and power of God unto salvation - renews man's heart and constrains him to God-glorifying living. The auxiliary organizations of Redeemer Lutheran are at your service. These groups offer additional opportunities for Kingdom service, for growth in Christian knowledge, activity and fellowship. The Pastor considers it a privilege to serve all who seek spiritual guidance through Scriptural counsel - Pastor John F.W. Scharrer".

- The church was erected in 1824, after Captain Daniel Rapelje, one of the first settlers in this area, conveyed by deed two acres of land from his grant to the Lord Bishop of Quebec for the creation of a churchyard and the erection of a church. The graves of Captain Rapelje and his two sons are located in the churchyard. The gothic steeple was added to the church in 1827, with the help of a monetary donation from Colonel Thomas Talbot, the British officer sent by the Crown to command the area around what was then a garrison of the British Empire.
