Scott, of Kincardine, new Moderator of Hamilton-London Synod: 73rd Annual Session of Important Church Body Being Held in Knox Church; Retiring Moderator's Address; New Moderator Presents Gavel and Gets It Back." 2_1397: "Presents Gavel to Synod; Has It Handed Right Back to Him: Rev. Stanley M. Scott, B.A., of Kincardine, was elected moderator of the Presbyterian Synod of Hamilton and London at the 73rd annual meeting in Knox Church here Monday evening. In the above picture Mr. Scott is seen holding the gavel, which he had just presented to the Synod as a gift from the session of the Kincardine church, where the Synod met last year. Shortly after mr. Scott presented the gavel to the secretary, Rev. J. K. West, it was handed back to hom by Mr. West and at once put to use. In the picture above are shown, left to right: Rev. History / Biographical
86 Elgin St was built for William E. Idsardi in 1891 at a cost of $4500. Idsardi was a former Alderman and Mayor in St. Thomas. The house was designed by architect John Z. Long and built by Hawes and Matchett. It was owned by the Idsardi family until 1940, until it was sold to the Disbrowe family, who owned the house for over forty years.

91st Battalion marching east on Talbot Street, St. Thomas, ca. 1916. Possibly shows the start of the 91st Battalion's recruitment march east from St. Thomas to Port Burwell and back in February, 1916. View shows Talbot Street, St. Thomas, north side, looking west from Mondamin Street, with the Columbia Hotel in the background. Captain (later Major) A.E. Medcalf, officer commanding B Company of the 91st Battalion, is shown leading the contingent. Journal Building is also visible, with its original domed tower. The grounds of Holy Angels Church are partially visible at left. Likely from a Curtis family scrapbook. File includes:

Programme for the 60th Anniversary Reunion of the 91st Battalion, C.E.F., held June 22, 1975. Includes names and other information about 172 members of the Battalion killed in action during the First World War, along with the names of 77 surviving members of the Battalion. The Battalion received orders to mobilize on October 23, 1915.
Programme for the 91st Battalion Commemoration Sunday, June 26, 2016: Trinity Anglican Church. Also, a programme for the Dedication and Departure Service (June 25, 2016) and a special newspaper: "100th Anniversary of the Departure of the 91st Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force".
