- The County Exhibits Committee of the Local Committee for the 1960 International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Demonstration was established at a meeting of the Executive Committee held September 28, 1959. Archie Irvine was appointed committee chairman. The committee was responsible for organizing exhibits featuring Elgin County crops and livestock at the International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Demonstration held October 11-14, 1960 in the vicinity of Springfield, Ontario.
