File contains records collected by Don Carroll pertaining to the Colonel Thomas Talbot, the Talbot Settlement, and the demolition of the Talbot Estate. Records include the following items: -A paper on Colonel Thomas Talbot, delivered to the London and Western Ontario Branch of the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada in February 1989. -Miscellaneous newspaper clippings (original and photocopies) -A speech by Don Cosens about Colonel Thomas Talbot delivered at his gravesite at St. Peter's Cemetery in Tyrconnell, at the regular meeting of the Elgin Historical Society, on May 18, 1998. -Cue cards containing a speech about Colonel Thomas Talbot, delivered at the Retired Warden's Banquet in London, Ontario, -Cue cards containing a speech about Colonel Thomas Talbot, delivered at the United Empire Loyalist Association in London, Ontario. -Photocopy of a map of the Talbot Settlement -Handwritten historical notes regarding the Talbot Settlement, St. Peter's Church and the Southwold Earthworks, made by Shirley Carroll. -Photocopy of a Notice published in a local newspaper by Colonel Thomas Talbot on March 19, 1832. -Artistic depictions of the original Talbot house, the Estate as it appeared in 1900, and the Estate as it appeared in circa 1990s. -Photocopy of "The Life of the Late Colonel Thomas Talbot" by L.C.
