- Description
- Letter on light blue paper with 'Grand Central Hotel' as the heading in a gothic font. Below, 'St. Thomas, Ont.' is printed, and the date has been left blank. The letter is written in messy cursive in pencil and is very difficult to read. It appears to say "The City of Berlin...This oil for Gas...Two years, with...factory search(?), and moved suggest your...The City Dept(?) or City Engineer my...the...of this product... may receive your for...consider...Yours very truly, Berlin Oil...Per McBurney(?), manager." On the reverse side "Lender for Oil, 1914" is written in pencil.

- The "City of Berlin" likely refers to modern-day Kitchener, and this letter would have been written at the Grand Central Hotel in St. Thomas.
