Port Burwell Marine Museum

Description

Lifeboat compass with gimbal has "Kelvin & Hughes Ltd" on brass ring encircling the actual compass inside the copper housing. It has a side light with oil burner, designed to illuminate the compass. It is meant to slide out but is stuck in now. There is a ring on top and a base with 2 holes.
