- Description
- A Guelphic crown over a 7-pointed star enclosing a beaver. "Elgin Infantry 25" and "Officium Primum" are cast into the plate. At the top, there is a crown with red fabric attached at the back so that the colour shows through the gaps between strips of metal. A circle of maple leaves surrounds a crest with a beaver in the middle. The helmet plate is from the 25th Battalion and was in use from 1894-1902.
